I don't think that's right.  The first R10K I evaluated to buy was a brand
new SGI Origin 200, and I was comparing it against a second-hand Digital
AlphaServer 2100.

According to Wikipedia, MIPS R10000 was released in 1995, the Alpha
21064 in 1992, and the 21164 also in 1995.
