I am not familiar with the LC 475, but I have used MacSE and MacLC and
LCIII as Appleshare server. This should work.

On my LC's w/ IIe card, I use just one ProDOS partition. You can have
more, but the problem is slot allocation in the IIe setup control panel.
I use one slot for ProDOS harddrive and the other for the internal floppy
drive. I don't use the exernal 5.25 floppies. I am not sure if you can
mount a second harddrive, if you use clock, memory card, Appleshare,
printer etc.
The Mac can not share the ProDOS volumes, only the Mac (HFS) volumes. But
these appear as ProDOS volumes through the Appleshare FST on a GS or
through Appleshare with the iie card. (Check that, I never could get the
iie card to see the host shared drives.) I do not see the need to limit
HFS to 2GB each. Why not larger partitions? Appleshare doesn't have a
limit that I know of. You may wnat one smaller partition for a2 files
(ProDOS naming convention) and the larger partition for Mac files.

Yes, a localtalk IWII works fine with a IIe+workstation card, as well as
the LC with IIe card. I have done this.
Good luck!
