Are you sure you have the right type of cable? A null-modem cable (what
you'd use to connect a printer) won't work. The TxD light on your modem
should blink every time you press a key with your comm program open
(assuming for a minute that the program is properly configured). If it
doesn't blink, you probably have the wrong cable.
