Yeah, I see your point, only an idiot would WANT people to think they were from AOL. ;)
Seriously, I have no problems with AOL, I think some of their services are great. I also think that some of their services allowed too many idiot users to get online. (Which was the point, I guess.) And at least if you had an issue with a real AOL user, you had recourse.
I just think is sucks that they do not support basic modem-internet text interfaces anymore. It severely restricted the access for older computers. (And many idiots!)
