As far as I know, it is. It has a switch on the back that allows you to turn the internal speaker on or off and a big hole (note: technical term) for connecting up headphones and/or speakers. Right now, I have it only outputting mono sound because I have only a mono connector. It's not a digitizer at all. ~Poster
