When testing equipment that is not normally used much on
Apple IIs, I test them on a Mac. There is a program on the
Mac, Disk Doctor, or something to that affect, that tells
you what drives are on the SCSI chain. Once you know what
ID the drive in question is set for, then you can take it
back to the Apple II and set the rest of the chain. You
must remember that on anything but a IIgs running GSOS,
and with proper FST's installed, you will only be able to
access 32 MB or smaller ProDOS partitions on a CD. Use the
Mac to verify the ID and that the drive is actually functioning.
