Not everyone knows about the misc.* groups (I was a long-time net users
from the days before Mosaic created the web), and it wasn't until the
late 90's that I even new there was a Mac sub in the misc.forsale.*
selections. And with so many not even knowing newsgroups exist (and AOL
discontinuing support for them), all I have to say is be forgiving.

If the OP could find these newsgroups to crosspost in, he could have
easily found the others. Simple research skills can answer a lot of
questions before they are asked. In this case for example, I used
Netscape 7 as a newsreader. I clicked on the "Manage newsgroup
subscriptions" and typed "forsale.computers" in the "show items that
contain" text block and a quick scan sees several ".mac-specific."
groups. A quick click or two and I'd be subscribed to them ready for
reading and posting. Most newsreaders offer some method to find a
certain newsgroup in the tens of thousands that are out there.
As for forgiving the OP, well that's another issue betwixt him and me.
