Re: Unknown hardware...

1) adaptive firmware card: supposedly for handicapped access. Anyone
know the point? Buttons on the firmware card send keystrokes to the
IIgs???

2)perhaps a gameport switcher? It connects to game controller, what
exactly does it look like? does it have another connector, a Y
connector, etc?

3)scanner card. I have a Quickie scanner here without the card. Email
me if you are interested in it. I also have all quickie software

4)this is either audio input, or output. For HyperStudio I would guess
(published by Roger Wagner)

Echo II would be needed for games/software that require it. The IIgs
has the ability to output nice stereo sound with multi-voices, as well
as speech. The echo II added this capability to the II,II+,IIe which
had no built in sound hardware (except for their built in speaker)

Zip GSX requires no software, but you can get software to test, change
parameters.
Echo II requires software. Includes music composition/playback
software, as well as speech manipulation.

My information about the Echo could be wrong. I don't know what model
they added speech capability to.

There are some programs for the Applied Engineering Phasor board on my
website. They may be compatible with your Echo.
