D'oh!!!!!!! Ok, well how do I hook it up to my Mac 512ke? I'd assume that
little box hooks up to the printer port, and then the printer cable plugs
into where it says imagewriter. I've never seen a DB9-MD8 cable, though.

I can't just use a DB9-DB25 and then a GS modem cable because the mac serial
pinout is weird, right?

Just hook it up to the printer port and run the Mac software. Other than
that, it pretty much the same as on the Apple II.

I have both a Mac DB9-DB25, a DB9-MD8 and a few DB9 Appletalk connectors
on hand. I've never looked at the Mac DB9 serial port as I've only had
Macs with those ports for a few years and haven't had a reason to look
into them. A slightly newer Thunderscan has an adapter for using it with
a newer Mac with a MD8 port. The adapter taps power off the disk port.
