Hi, Don--it's great to "see" you here on csa2! I hope everthing
is going well for you.
For transferring a large number of files, I'd recommend getting
a Compact Flash For Apple (CFFA) card from Rich Dreher, which looks
like a hard disk to the Apple (with multiple partitions if you like).
You can then use any Apple file copy program to copy your files to
appropriate subdirectories on the flash drive. This is no doubt
the most tiresome part of the process...
Then download Andy McFadden's wonderful CiderPress (for Windows).
Plug the FlashCard from the CFFA into a reader slot on your PC
and use CiderPress' File menu to open it using "Open volume...".
You will then have the entire contents of the "disk" displayed.
Using the "Extract..." option under the "Actions" menue will
allow you to copy all the Apple text files to the PC as standard
PC text files (lots of conversion options are available), ready
to upload to your website.
Thank you very much for making your amazing library of Apple II
information available. You are a real Apple II hero! ;-)
(BTW, check out the networking and multiprocessor stuff on my
website--I think you'll get a kick out of it. ;-)
