One thing that should be noted, which I haven't seen mentioned yet, is
that all Apple II video modes are software emulated using the Macintosh's
QuickDraw routines. This means in some cases, especially on a slower
machine such as the 16 MHz LC II, screen redraws, animation and text
scrolling (e.g. AppleWorks classic) will be slower than an actual Apple IIe.

The card itself contains a (modified?) Mega II chip--the "Apple IIe on a
chip" used by the Apple IIgs. An IWM, which is essentially a Disk II 5.25
controller shrunk to a chip, 2 MHz 65C02, and 256K RAM (of which half
is available for the emulated machine). Much of the Macintosh's native
hardware can be used to emulate Apple II peripherals (i.e. Slinky RAM
card, serial ports, 3.5 and hardisk, AppleTalk networking).

Be sure to get the Y-cable that comes with the card, this is the only
way you can connect up a physical 5.25 floppy drive and joystick (no,
unfortunately the card doesn't work with disk images). I have a IIe Card
installed in my Macintosh LC 475 but missing the cable so I never had
a chance to tinker much with it. Anyone have a spare to trade? :)
