Apple ][c - garbage all over screen on boot

My Apple ][c is playing up and has garbage all over the screen on boot-up,
and it doesn't access the disk drive.

I last used the machine about 18 months ago, and it worked fine back then.

I've pulled the cover off and re-seated all the socketed chips several
times, but the problems remain.

If I press RESET a heap of times, sometimes I can see "App e" - part of the
"Apple ][" greeting - appear at the middle top of the screen. So, this
might mean that one or more of the EEPROMS is bad ??

An ancient Apple ][ Repair Guide lists my problem "system won't boot, power
light on, drive won't run, garbage on screen" and suggests that I need to
replace EF ROM (monitor) at E10 and/or 6502B (cpu) at C4. Out of these, I'd
say the EF ROM is bad - rather than the CPU. Does this sound right to you
guys ?

Any idea how to fix / get replacement parts ?

Also, anyone got any scans of the schematics for an Apple ][c ?

Also, are Apple ][c ROMS/PROMS comtatible with Apple ][+ ROMS/PROMS ?

In 1983, I replaced an EPROM in my old Apple ][+ clone - to get "Apple ]["
to display instead of "Computer", and I still have this chip around
somewhere. I have no idea if this chip still works. But, is this the EF
ROM (monitor) chip ? Would this Apple][+ chip be compatible with a
Apple ][c ? (I'm betting that this tack is too flimsy to have any hope of
success).

Anyway, any information much appreciated, TIA,
