Re: Help with Rescue Raiders the game!

Glad folks used the same trick I did. :D Rescue Raiders was one heck of a game for it's time and I enjoyed it a ton.

I've stated this before, but I wish there would have been better sound effects. Having some music with a Mockingboard or Phasor card would have been a big bonus. :) Maybe someone with programming skills can try to patch a copy of the game. :D

If you did a google search, not sure what I can do for ya. I know stuff exists on the cheats but i can't recall where I saw them.

Here's a question for everyone who played Rescue Raiders. I managed to beat the game WITHOUT ever using any of the cheats.

What I did was pick up a full load of troops in my copter, fly over to the enemy homebase and drop them in and TAKE OVER the computer's "base" that was behind the time machine. With my troops in control, they would shoot any ground troops generated by the computer and hold up the tanks/etc for nice long while. I used this successfully to beat the game.

What was interesting, is that I don't know if this was a cheat or a bug in the game. Anyone happen to know?

I used the same "trick" ages ago. The key was SURVIVING to get that load of guys in place... VERY tough in some cases, particularly on the levels with buckets of those "anit-aircraft jeeps" coming at you.
