I have an Apple //e platinum which I want to connect to my ethernet
network at home. Mostly, I want to be able to toss out all of my old
5.25" floppies and use the network as sort of a file server. I would
be willing to connect the Apple via the serial port, if that is
possible - but the Apple is in a different room than the PC and there
is already a network jack in every room of the house ('smart wired').
I have seen serial-to-ethernet adapters out there that claim to work
with anything with a serial port, but I don't know if it will work with
the Apple.
Can anybody give me some advice?
