Well,
My Apple Rom 3 IIGS is starting to fall ill. The HD is starting to
make funky noises sometimes doesn't want to boot at all.
Sitting next to my trusty IIGS is a modded Beige G3. The last Power Mac
to use goodies like ADB, Printer Port, Serial Modem port. This beast of
a Mac is still used on a daily bases and the OS of Choice is 10.2.8.
Stashed away on another partition I can boot 9.2.2 on the fly if I
wish.
My problem is I would like to connect the IIGS and the Beige through
the Printer port, back up my IIGS HD and put it away in a safe
location. Then if needed boot the IIGS from over the network.
All I know is I need AppleShare Server. What version would work on
9.2.2? Better yet is there any software that would work under OSX?
And hey, since the IIGS would be on a Network, what all would I need
to get it onto the WWW other than a browser ofcourse?
