: Hi Don,
:
: I did ... it was a son-of-a-gun to get it to work though.

: Slot 1 - CFFA
: Slot 2 - Super serial card
: Slot 5 - Superdrive card
: Slot 6 - Smartport

Slot 6 is DiskPort, but that's trivial.
I, too, have trouble with CFFA v.1.3 in
higher slots. Works well in slots 1 and 2
with larger CF cards. I have a 256MB set
to 8 drives, and I can use it fine with
GSOS, but 8-bit programs have trouble
initializing the top 4 partitions of the
8 drives. With Dave Lyon's driver, use 4
drive setting, 4 ProDOS partitions and
the rest, 1 OR 2 HFS partitions, and you
should be fine. It is important that you
use Dave Lyon's driver with it. :o)

: Boot set to slot 1 in control panel.

Also try booting from the superdrive with
a BASIC startup program asking it to boot
again from the CFFA slot. This works fine.

: I never could get it to work with the
: CFFA in slot 7.

Seems if you have the superdrive in any slot
higher than the CFFA it works better. They
don't seem to play well together.

: And it seems to click the speaker quite regularly
: when I have the two cards in at the same time ...

I noticed this as well. Seems they are conflicting
somehow. Try removing the RESET jumper from the CFFA.
