Cannot write to 5.25" disks from 6.0.1 Finder

Hello All,

I am having a problem with my IIGS system and for the life of me I
can't figure it out.

I can read 5.25" floppies (ProDos and 3.3) from the Finder in GS/OS
6.0.1 fine but I cannot write to them.  The error I get is "The disk
... is write protected."

This happens with both of my 5.25" drives.  They read and write fine
booting from DOS 3.3.  Also, I can launch a program from GS/OS, such as
Asimov 2.0 and can write to them as well.  However, the Finder or any
other GS application (e.g. GSHK) refuses to write to the 5.25" disks.

My system has a ZipGS chip (9Mhz), an AE RamKeeper with a GS RAM PLUS
card piggybacked for a total of 8MB.  I am running off of a really old
Resource Central 100MB SCSI hard drive (which I need to replace badly).
 I also have an AEHD 3.5" drive.

I have tried disabling the Zip chip to see if this helps but it doesn't
seem to make a difference.  Hopefully one of you fellows know what's
going on here?

Any light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
