I used Krylon Fusion paint on the case with very good results. It's
specially formulated for plastic and seems to be a lot more resilient
that regular spray paint. Also it doesn't require any sanding, you just
wipe down with ammonia and you're good to go. The off-white I used would
probably close to the original //c colour and there is also a light grey
that's very similar to Apple Platinum... I don't think there's a IIe
Beige though.
I painted the keys with Testors transparent model paint, which was
really a pain... it's hard to get an even coat and it's also prone to
chipping. Takes forever to cure properly.
One thing I found is that the darker plastic on the back of the IIe
monochrome monitor reacts badly to being painted. Other than that,
patience is the key.
