came up with no ansi garbage..and when i logged off and even dumped my
internet explorer and got back on the java telnet screen
continued to give me ansi even when prompted NO for ansi at the prompt
then 3rd time it seemed to lock up
anyway ...maybe you will have to make the option w/o any emulation
ansi/proterm or otherwise...see if that clears it up any connection
problems and work backwards from there if it is stable..
you might want to toss up that tpro 4.2f rpg bbs i gave you and see if that
has any better luck working..if it works..(too old for ansi) then
maybe that would prove the ansi or proterm is the problem....it always
worked with java telnet on my setup..the old lost-gonzo.com but then
again fv/metal always worked in that way also.....via my worldgroup bbs
setup and its dialup module for that product
anyway....default everything to reg text on logon..and then force everybody
to always use the a)ccounts area to change emulation to ansi or proterm
or whatever after they logon....its ugly..but maybe that would work as a
temp solution
anyway like i know what i'm talking about....

p.s. what javatelnet app are you using...maybe try a diff one?
