Hi Bill,

Heh, of course, I should've included all the details.

- Booting from Slot 1 - CFFA 32MB partition 1 of 4
- Slot set to boot from 1, not scan
- 3.5" SD controller in Slot 5
- SSC-II (super serial) card in Slot 2
- GS-RAM 1.5MB (need a RAM4GS hint hint!) :)

I swapped out the GS-RAM because it wasn't bought as a
working board, it was bought to scavenge the chips from
for a Slinky //e card. I thought it was a bonus that it
"worked" but I appear to be wrong. The $27 got worse
after I posted, and in fact on the boot, when you see
the little boot and the little speaker icon, the speaker
icon was completely trashing the display till it got into
finder. I suspected RAM for no better reason than
it's the oldest card I have in my IIgs.

The SSC-II card was NIB less than a year ago, the
CFFA card is of course pretty darn new and the
Superdrive controller has "low-miles" too.

So far, so good, but the Finder reports no huge
amount of RAM - LOL ... C'est la vie, it seems to
be working better now.

All I did prior to System 6.0.1 was use software that
likely only needed the first 48K of RAM so I didn't
see my GS-RAM trashing anything in memory.

*fingers crossed* that this fixes the $27 error code.

I'll keep you all posted ... stay tuned on the edge of
your seats! :)

Later,
Craig
