There have been one or two times, where the amount I bid, was
more-or-less determined by the amount of wine I had just drunk. :)
I would wake the next morning and think 'ACK!', though I would
promptly pay if I had won (it has never been over $100 either, so I
wasn't the subject of this discussion).
There was one time, where there must have been somebody drinking
harder stuff than I, as they out-bid me anyway!
In a way, these occasional high bidders may be good in that they may
encourage some hoarders to sell some of their stash.
