I can select and copy the image of the KEGS window from a larger image
but I would still need to know the resolution of what I just copied to
create a new image of that size to paste it into.

Microsoft's Imaging that is included with Windows 98 SE, which is what
my PC is running right now, doesn't have that option.
However, seeing as you brought it up again I decided to double check
and discovered that I have Paint installed as well and didn't even
realize it. It turns out that with Paint, if you try to paste an
image from the clipboard into the current document and the current
document is too small, it will ask you if you want to resize the
current image to make it fit. Paint can also save the image as a JPEG
so now I can capture screen shots from KEGS if I want to.
Thanks for making me take a second look. :-)
