I would expect very little difference in space or speed between
the two versions--why bother with a 65C02 version?  Two versions
are more than twice the support trouble.  ;-)

(I could also ask, why bother with the 65C02 itself, except
for small-ROM embedded applications.  The changes were
so minor, "fixing" problems with the 6502 that everyone
had already learned to work around, that it was hardly
worth the incompatibility issues it raised.  Think "second
system syndrome".)

I can certainly understand a 64KB and a 128KB version,
since that is a _big_ difference in capability, but it might
be easily managed in a modular fashion.  In fact, providing
an Applesoft-like memory management scheme to exploit
the various forms of RAM expansion might be the best of
both worlds.
