Bart is qualified for this too. He's written some articles for us at
Call-A.P.P.L.E.. I'll bet one of our readers can summarise what he's
written and put it into an FAQ.

Actually there are quite a few OSS newsreaders. Perhaps a port of one of
them might be possible... I'd say the majority are written in C so both
the //e and GS would be covered. Since the code for the Apple has to be
tight compared to modern computers, the port may actually help the project
as a whole.
