Re: Early sierra games for the apple 2 and SDK images

Hi,

Does anyone have any of the early Sierra AGI adventure games such as Space Quest, the Black Cauldron etc? If so, what sort of an Apple II do they need? Would my Apple //e 64k run them?

I noticed that asimov has a few sierra games on it in a weird format that as of yet, I have no idea how to get onto my apple from the net.

I use ADT in a 3 way process:

1) download on my main box (Linux)
2) put onto a 3.5" floppy and run ADTDOS on a 486 laptop
3) transfer DSK images to apple via ADT.

Above for me works great every time. However, I understand that SDK are Shrink-IT disk images. How is it possible to unshrink these images and transfer them to an apple to if you:

A) Do not own nor wish to use a copy of Microsoft Windows.
B) Have no clue about shrinkit in any capacity (i've tried reading a number of websites).

Kindest Regards,

nulib2 will extract a PO disk image, I think there is a DOS or Linux version. Then you need to reinterleave the disk image from PO to DO (fairly straightforward, though the only tool I have to do it is written in QuickBasic).
