I thought Apple put all the Apple 2 stuff in the public domain? Or was
that just the classic mac stuff? As for microsoft, it depends on what
kind of deal apple had with them. Commodore bought a license that
allowed them to use the basic indefinitely for a one time fee,
something that apparently didn't please Bill.

Ironstone obtained a license from the new Commodore (Tulip).
