Hi all,
I tried to transfer software between apple II & PC using ADT.
Seems I have a problem in the link. Is the cable faulty ? Is the
SSC card faulty ? Is my PC serial port faulty ?
I don't know, so any help will be welcome.
I'll try to explain :
When I try, using hyperterminal or command line, to type PRINT 42 (apple set
to IN#2-6B), I manage to get PRINT 42 on my apple 2 screen, BUT...
At 300 bauds, I have to type 4-5 times the first letter "P" to get it, then
the rest of the line is correct and theres no more garbage anymore. The next
lines are OK as long as I don't wait to type them. If I pause 10 secondes,
the next 5 characters will be garbage. My apple II screen looks like this:
]]]]@_]PRINT 42
? SYNTAX ERROR
]PRINT 42
42
]PRINT 42
42
(pause 10 secondes)
]_____PW_@PRINT 42
? SYNTAX ERROR
No need to say I get only garbage "" when I type
PR#2 to get the text back on my PC hyperterminal.
if someone could help...
is the problem coming from the PC, the cable, the APPLE SSC ?
another software/protocol/speed problem ?
thanks everybody
