do you refer to the various "set" commands? In that case you can create
a kermit.init text file and edit there all your options (I have to
check out)

I also find kermit as the best program to do terminal emulation...

I also had some problems but they disappeared choosing a driver which
doesn't care about hardware handshake. But I haven't used it faster
then 9600, while using kermit-80 on the same Apple I can't go faster
then 320! (I don't know why).
