Hi,
as some of you may already know I ported the Contiki OS
(http://www.sics.se/~adam/contiki/) to the A2. It has been already
running successfully with Glenn Jones' homebrewn ethernet card.
Unfortunately this card isn't generally available so I want to add
support for the LANceGS ethernet card.
Currently I only own an ][+ clone, while Joachim Lange told me that
his LANceGS only works reliably in an //e or //GS. And Contiki for the
A2 comes in two flawours as well, a down-level version for all 64k
machines (with 40 col. display) and the "real one" for enhanced //e's
(and above) (with 80 col. mousetext display and 65C02 instructions).
So after all I'd need an enhanced //e to build and test a LANceGS
driver for Contiki. I've been looking at german eBay for such a
machine but they tend to be rare and thus too expensive for me.
Therefore I'm asking here if an A2 fan in Germany is willing support
this open source effort by donnating an german (220 Volt, 50 Hz)
enhanced //e (or selling it very cheaply) to me.
The machine should have a 80 col. board - an extended one would be
great as future Contiki versions may make use of the aux memory.
Additionally a floppy controller and a 5.25" drive would be great as
this would allow me to operate the machine in parallel to my ][+
(which has the drive built into a PC-type case).
