     If signal level is a problem and the Apple II is an older model, you may
get some improvement adjusting the output-- the adjustment (if present) will
be a mini-pot near the 16-pin IC Joystick socket.

     For RF, the problem may be impedance matching. A 300-to-75 Ohm converter
might help.

     Another try is connecting the Apple II via a VCR.
