Hi,

Sometime back a similar thing happened to me, although not the exact
thing. But it was probably my fault. I tried to connect a modified  PC
power supply (modified by me-- i was sure that voltages were accurte)
to my system. As soon as I switched on the IIe, i got a smoke from RAM
area. and most of the RAMs were very hot. Then screen showed red
vertical lines. no text, no reponse from the system.
