uh, nevermind. I found what I needed on a Brazilian archive.
AIIUtulity.shk -it is a good file. I also found a Innerdrive.shk on a
ZA archive that does not pass crc on unshrink. it contained the driver,
and the formater utility. the driver is OK but THAT formater is hosed.
the one in AIUtility.shk works. -in case any other Innerdrive questions
come up.
Also, from my experiments if anyone is interested: Innerdrive IDE
card (the one I hvae at least) will NOT work on any Fujitsu, Seagate,
Quantum, WD Caviear series, or Maxtor drives but WILL work on older XT
style (less then 100mb in size) Western Digitals. I have 2 of these
recovered from older PCs. one is about to loose its roter and sounds
gawdawful, but formated.
Question: was there ever any other ROM for this card that allowed for
formating OTHER drives? I know that the "Black" Vulcan ROM only allowed
format of a 20mb drive and that the "Gold" Vulcan allowed 100-120mb
formats. I know this becasue I have both, got a clone of my gold rom,
instlaled ont he black and got it to format another, larger drive.
BTW: Vulcan Gold works on a 120mb Seagate, not on Maxtor or Quantum.
