The NSC runs fine in a //c+ as long as you don't have a RAM card installed.
There is a mod you can do to squeeze everything in there, but you need
moderate soldering skills.

To set the time, you must boot the machine in slow mode. Once set, the clock
is readable in the default "fast" mode.

Mark Percival organized a group purchase some time back to satisfy the
minimum order requirements, and get a discount. Not sure, but I thought he
got them direct from Dallas Semiconductor.

I think you may still be able to get them through DigiKey, and similar
places.
