A lot of people use TCPSER for such a connection. I already bought a
Lantronix UDS-10 to put my 99/4A on my hub, and used Win98 Internet
Connection Sharing.

I've since installed Fedora Core Linux on my desktop as my main OS. I
simply had to enable Telnet service, set the ethernet card as a trusted
device (firewall wise), and now I can share it's internet connection (I'm
dial-up, sorry!). I telnet into my Linux box, then use Lynx with an
80-column terminal program to surf the internet... Works pretty well.
