Hey, Kev.

Personally, I recommend getting a shielded cable from Radio Schlock to
use with the monitor. Makes the signal come across much clearer. As
for color, there *are* color composite monitors for the //c, but
they're kind of hard to find. I got lucky several years ago, and got
one at a garage sale. You might be able to find one on eBay.

You guys are all a great help. I still can't believe the condition of
the //c and monitor. This machine is over 20 years old and despite
some dust it is still white no scratches no yellowing... and it came
with all the original manuals/floppy's (all in mint cond as well!). I
guess the guy who let it go really took care of it. Once it is set up
it looks so retro cool with the little monitor hovering over the
system that I have been hesitant to break out my old Commie 1084s
monitor and set it up next to the Apple.
Im afraid to wipe the sys down!! It is so mint I dont want to wipe
off the paint. I guess my next steps will be either getting some
software or getting ahold of null modem cable and some blank disks.
So I guess I am right in assuming the only purpose of the RGB port on
the back is for the RF modulator? The best output I will get from
the //c is thru the RCA out?

Next best is an RCA to a decent color composite monitor.

Best is the RGB interface that connects to what you reasonably thought *was* and RGB interface, then use a digital RGB monitor with your //c. The problem is, I've never seen such an interface :-(
