Odd //c monitor

Browsing eBay today, I came across a //c for sale ($229!) that had a
monitor I've never seen before. It had very much the appearance of IIgs
RGB monitor (same case design and platinum colour), but it was listed as
a monochrome monitor. The photo showed _white_ text as opposed to the
usual green phosphor and looked to be quite sharp (at least sharper than
any of my composite monitors)...
I don't have the URL of the item handy, but it was listed on the Vintage
Technology Group eBay store.
I'm guessing this monitor was really intended for the IIc+ (based on the
case colour), and wondering if it might even make use of the //c's video
expansion port.
Any thoughts?
