I can think of lots of reasons to put a IIgs board in a IIe case. Putting it in a case and not being able to use the keyboard loses a lot of the appeal. A thought occurs. If the II+ has a keyboard encoder you should be able to remove that and make an adapter to let you use it with a IIgs ROM 1 board. It depennds on what pattern the keys are wired in. If it doesn't match the pattern on a IIe, well then a custom keyboard ROM would fix that. I'm curious as to wht the upgrade wouldn't fit your platinum IIe. Except for the earliest beige IIe, the pans in my beige and platinum IIe are identical except for the paint colour. I've installed a platinum case onto a beige bottom. Wayne
