Although I haven't mixed the exact configuration you describe, I have
plugged multiple "hard disk"-like cards into a //e simultaneously in
several combinations, and all have worked fine.  In fact, this is
my usual backup strategy.  ;-)

Using ProDOS 2.x allows a *bunch* of partitions to be mounted,
so if your devices have less than ten or so partitions in total, they
should all show up.

I haven't the faintest what GS/OS does, but I would generally expect
it to do as well or better than the latest ProDOS.  ;-)

Perhaps the problem with GS/OS is interactions between the _drivers_
for the devices.  Since they are all "block devices" wouldn't it work
(maybe a little slower) to just run them with default drivers?

There is certainly no incompatibility between the devices themselves.
