Ok, I have installed the card and it's running now, but...
It is recommended to install the CFFA in slot 5, then to format there
using Copy II Plus or System Utilites. I don't know how to do that when
the disks to use Copy II Plus are on Slot 5 (smart port) on the GS.
Can't run the utilities from the cards using Prodos 16 v1.3 (only system
disk I had that came with the system I bought)
I tried running from a RAMDISK - that didn't work because it, too, uses
Slot 5 (/RAM5).
Eventually, I gave up and formatted it in Slot 7 from the disks and I
now have two 32 meg partitions on a single 512MB Sandisk CF card.
I'm going to download System 6.0.1 from online sources after I get my
Super Serial Card installed in my IIgs (null modem issues, see "I'm
having a devil of a time" discussion) to make PC to IIgs transfers
easier. Then I'll try reformatting again.
I have a IIgs system as follows:
Rom 03 IIgs w/1 MB RAM on board
System Saver IIgs
Bill Garber's 4 mb RAM card
Rich Dreher's CFFA in slot 7 with a 512MB Sandisk CF card
Two 3.5 disks and Two 5.25 disks daisychained off the smartport
CH joystick on the joystick port
Apple RGB 12" monitor (made for the IIgs)
ADB Keyboard II
IIgs mouse attached to the keyboard.
Anyone have any advice?
Oh, and if you have an extra Transwarp GS just hanging around and you'd
like some cash, I'm in the market for one :)
