The thing is, I'm trying to get some information over to the GS from my PC, and it's waayy to much trouble to move the two computers into the same room and do it with a null modem cable. So, since I just happened to have a Zip Plus, I decided to try that. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get it to work. I'm wondering if it doesn't have something to do with the fact that my GS is a ROM 3 machine.
I don't use a PC but a Mac. If you can use a HFS disk on your PC then this should work. I usually use a ramfast which mounts Zip disks without a hitch. Since you have an Apple Rev C I dug one up. The setup I used was a Rev C with a 40mb HD with a Zip drive chained to it. Since the Rec C card doesn't have the term power mod I switched the Zip drives term to off and placed an ACTIVE terminator on the end of the SCSI chain. I also made sure the Zip drive was set at SCSI id 5 while the HD was SCSI id 6. Still no luck so I formatted the disk with Advanced Disk utilities. Now the Zip Disk works on both the IIgs and Mac.
