Re: Hard Drive question (dos 3.3)
Ok, I have the answer you need... sort of.
Rich sells the CFFA and in my opinion it is the best storage card for
the price and maybe the best period. I have my Apple IIplus running a
program called DOS MASTER on it that divides up the Compact Fash card
into DOS3.3 partions and then I just copy my images into those using
ADT. It won't work on all images but it works on a lot of them. I set
my system to boot prodos then autoload dos master. From there, dos
master goes right into the first dos3.3 partition which I have a
DOS3.3 master image with my own custom menu to load my programs.
Changing to a different partion is done with the volume command, for
example;
CATALOG,V4
Will go to the volume 4 on the compact flash dos partion that is set
up. There are some drawbacks, but it is the best solution I've found
for having DOS on a hard drive.
