SCSI CD-ROM "Apple CD300Plus"

I recently acquired an Apple branded SCSI 50-pin "CD-300Plus" CD-ROM
drive. I like to use it with my Apple IIGS computer, but how? any help
is greatly appreciated.

My configuration is as follows:
- Apple IIGS ROM 01
- Apple II High-Speed SCSI controller card
- External SCSI Hard Disk Drive (with ability to daisy-chain other SCSI
devices)
- System 6.0 (installed on hard drive)

Do I need to install any CD-ROM software drivers for DOS, ProDOS, System
6, etc? if so, where can I find them?

By daisy-chaining the CD-ROM off the hard drive would the system
software recognise the additional device? Would it detect it
automatically?

What software and which operating systems would read CDs? and play audio
CDs?

Many thanks,
Jeff.
