Well, what do you know. The CPU on my TWGS has no -14, but my chip downstairs does. I will try swapping them. One question - can anyone tell me how to pull the CPU on a TWGS? I tried with a small screwdriver to pry it out, but it resisted and I didn't try to force it. Seems like there is a small locking bar that needs to be disengaged...?? Thanks again! Tim
Some sockets have a hole at each corner that lets you pry it out easily with two small screwdrivers. Some only have a hole in one corner. I've done those using a paper clip with a bend near the end to pry it up. They can be in there very tightly and it is possible to damage the socket if you aren't careful. If you don't feel confident in removing it then this might be a good time to stop by an electronics repair shop. They'd likely remove it for you while you're there and if you're lucky may not even charge you. Wayne
