The "PAL" IIc used in most (if not all) 220-240VAC countries does
actually require a box clipped on the back if you want to connect
it to a colour TV. Unlike the first PAL IIe motherboards, the IIc
does not have the PAL color encoder built on the motherboard. The RCA
jack on the IIc is 50Hz non-interlaced video with a non-standard color
burst frequency. The PAL adapter has two RCA jacks - one is PAL
composite, the other PAL RF modulated for feeding into the antenna.
