: Ok. I've got a dual 20" Cinema display setup going for my G4
(G5 on
: the way tho!) and I've added this little halogen desklamp that
has
: such a filter on one side - and I'd hate to see some kind of
fogging
: of the translucent portion of the Cinema display plastic or
general
: yellowing of any part of it, unevenly, on the side where the
lite is.
:
: Hmmm - wonder if I should just dump that light. Halogen any
worse
: than other type of lite? (So sunlight ever hits these (dark
basement)
: and other light is mainly soft white low-wattage bulbs behind.)

Can't say one light is worse or better than another,
but I know that UV is the worse when it comes to yellowing.
I have heard also that systems kept in total darkness but
are in a moist area also yellow. Not sure but I think heat,
the heat caused by light or other sources can be just as
bad.
