Apple made the NTSC IIe mono-lingual with a 2732 chargen
instead of the 2764 the PAL versions have. As the 2716 is the
smallest 5v EPROM I guess they did not bother trying to save
by halving the size of the keyboard ROM.

Are they platinum or beige IIe versions? Here in Australia our
platinum IIe uses an "International NTSC" motherboard with Aux
slot in line with slot 3, a 50Hz IOU, a 14.25MHz osc and 2764
chargen. The beige IIe has a PAL motherboard.
What are the Canadian models like?
