Apple //e workstation card software

What is the latest version of the software? I have a disk image that
resolves to prodos 1.4, basic system 1.2, and has a version 1.3
"registering on the network" splash screen on boot, and a login
program that is version 1.0.

Anyway, it almost, but not quite works. When I try to log on to the
server (power mac running system 8.1) no server shows up in the server
list window, but it lets me try to log on anyway. The IIe's  name
shows up on the file sharing control panel on the mac, but all I get
on the IIe is an "Unknown server problem, see your network
administrator." error box. When I hit OK to that, then the icon clears
from the server, and the IIe starts up basic, and is fine, but no
network of course.

The shared drive is prodos friendly namewise, and the GS logs on to
the Mac with no trouble at all.
So, I'm stumped. The technotes say Prodos 1.4 had problems with
localtalk, and to use 1.5 or newer. I did change prodos versions, with
no effect, but I am still running the old ATINIT file, and the other
files that came with 1.4.

Any suggestions?
