Hello,
A few months ago a friend of mine gave me links to a couple websites
were I could buy 3.5 DS/DD floppy disks by the 100 pack. Now for the
life of me I can't figure out what I did with those links so I've been
searching on google.
Now I keep finding results just like this one:
<http://asp.issidata.com/comppage.asp?storeID=WI&gonow=12042>
"1.44 MB, Double Sided, Double Density"
Huh? But arent DS/DD disks are supposed to format to 720k under MS-DOS?
I could swear last I checked that was the case.
I e-mailed one of these stores and they told me the following:
---
that single sided floppies format to 720K
that double density 3.5 floppies format to 1.44MB
and that high density 3.5 floppies format to 2.0MB
---
I don't get it... where are they getting these numbers? I've never
heard them before and I've been using computers for years.
Am I just hoplessly confused or are all these stores all mistaken?
