I really hope I can make it again this year too.  I appreciate the
offer for sharing a ride but I doubt it would save me much driving.
The route I used the last few times only involves using two
interestates once I cross the border.  It takes me 16 to 20 hours to
drive from my place to Avila University and it would probably take me
close to that long to get to your place instead.

However, I will keep your offer in mind.  Sharing the trip, especially
with the cost of fuel nowadays, would help a little with insuring I
can afford to go this year.
