Robert Steinmetz asked:
I discovered I had a Rockwell 65c02 and I installed it in my
Apple ][. The computers seems to function just as it did before,
But I haven't been able to run any programs I could not run before.
It there a simple way to determine if I have the additional
instructions available for program use?
Trust me, if you installed a 65C02 in place of a 6502, you
have new instructions available!
You can go into the monitor and write a short program
(say, one that uses STZ to store zero somewhere), then
run it and see that it works.
The latest versions (2.x) of ProDOS require a 65C02.
